For those of us who like to keep things organized. 

Talk is great, but here is where the change really happens…

Specific Actions

  1. Do not eat while standing up
  2. Do not make calls or text on your cell phone while walking
  3. Meditate every day, without fail
  4. Write down your achievements at the end of each day
  5. Reflect on, or write down, 3 things you’re grateful for each day
  6. Put your phone away when eating dinner or spending time with people
  7. Stop multitasking and complete one item on your to-do list at a time
  8. Get outside and take in Nature once a day, no and, ifs, or buts!
  9. Clean out your closet
  10. Don’t buy anything for 24 hours
  11. Light incense or a candle when you get home
  12. Go on a short bike ride
  13. Watch sunset or sunrise
  14. Take a walk without your phone
  15. Go a week without makeup
  16. Take 10 deep breaths in and out in the morning and before bed
  17. Set a bedtime and stick to it

WHERE TO GO FOR MINDFULNESS:

Yoga Studios

Even if bending backwards is not your thing, a gentle yoga session can clear the mind and ease stress. Most yoga studios have scented candles, open windows, calming music, and even incense.

Meditation Centers

Although meditation centers are less common than yoga studios, if you can find one in your community try it out! The experience of meditating in a group is incredibly powerful.

National Parks

Full of indigenous species, protected wilderness, and open terrain, national parks are a perfect place to reconnect with nature and calm the mind.

Arboretums or Gardens

Taking a long stroll through an arboretum or garden will clear your mind and ease your stresses. These protected lands are filled with beautiful trees, shrubs, and flowers. Let nature empower you.

A Cozy Bed

A freshly-made, warm bed is the perfect way to unwind and release the tension of the day. Cozy up under the blankets, get a fluffy pillow and relax.
